NewsPolice Academy actor Bubba Smith dies : Bubba Smith, known for his work on the football field and on screens big and small, was found dead Wednesday in his Baldwin Hills home. Charles Aaron "Bubba" Smith was 66.

Though non-sports fans might know Smith best as the actor who played soft-spoken Moses Hightower in the "Police Academy" movies and the man who loved Miller Lite's "easy-opening cans," he'd already made his mark on the gridiron as a No. 1 draft pick out of Michigan State University. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1988.
